About the studio

For the footage nobody edits

Most families have thousands of clips and almost no films. Dearly Films exists to close that gap — carefully, and with real craft.

Why we started

Phone galleries solved one problem. The moments were there, but still unwatched. A camera roll of 400 clips isn't a memory anyone revisits.

Dearly Films was built to finish the job. We take what a family already captured and give it shape: an opening, a middle, an ending, a score, and the pacing that turns a scroll into a sit-down.

We work only on family and personal films. Not corporate, not advertising. This is the whole studio, and it's deliberately small — enough editors to keep our turnaround honest, few enough that every project gets a named person.

What we hold to

A person, not a program

Every film is assigned to one editor who watches all of your footage. No auto-generated highlight reels, no drag-and-drop templates.

Retelling, not fixing

Your footage isn't a problem to solve. The moments are already there — our craft is finding the order that lets them land.

Care with private things

We handle grief, illness, and family complexity often. Tell us what to hold gently and we will.

Yours to keep

You leave with a full-quality master, not a streaming link that expires. Your originals always stay yours.

How your footage is handled

  • Your footage lives in a private, access-controlled project library, with access limited to your assigned editor and the studio lead.
  • Every editor works under a signed confidentiality agreement covering all client footage and family details.
  • We never publish a frame of your film without written permission, and we never license your footage for AI training.
  • Working copies are removed 90 days after delivery, or immediately whenever you ask.
